Warm Up

Write a response to the following and upload your response to the Blackboard Discussion Forum: Warm Up 2/22

  • Write about your day, from the moment you woke up to walking into this class, by using the 5 senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch). Be specific.  Paint a picture!

Portfolio Workshop-Practicing Details

**Before we begin, those of you who peer reviewed a student who already had a peer review: write a response to a student who does not have one!**

Open your Portfolio Practice #1 submission and get into edit mode.

a) Open the Blackboard page for this class in another window and pull up the feedback from your classmate:

  • Look at the feedback.  What does it say to you? What are some suggestions? Is it useful? What is or is not helpful about the feedback?

  • Now, look at your response.  How can you address the suggestions your classmate(s) gave you? Try to revise your draft based off the suggestions.

b) Now open the Warm Up from today.

  • In your Portfolio Practice #1 document, try adding descriptions using the five senses.  Use details to create a picture of your reflection.  How can you persuade me that you have worked towards this outcome?

Turn your edited document in to the Blackboard Discussion Forum: Portfolio Practice #2​

Online Calendar

Let's work on planning out the process for the rest of this semester by using the calendar in your Outlook email account or another online calendar.

  • What should you include?

    • Open Dr. Brown​'s Online Exhibit Assignment Instructions and write in the due dates. (When do you plan on doing your interview?)

    • Portfolio Due Dates

    • Exam dates

    • SI sessions

    • Meetings

    • Appointments

    • Assignment Due Dates

    • History Quizzes--Do you want to take by a response to Dr. Brown or Professor Riley before the next quiz/test?

    • Work out ​how far in advance you need to start working/writing for your assignments?

  • Why did we take the time to do this?

Homework

  • Make sure to complete your Discovery Log #6.  Im going to do a progress check on Friday.
