Today's Goals

Part 1

To warm up for today's workshop, got to Blackboard and find the Midterm Portfolio Rubric.

  • Save it to your Online Folder and open your Portfolio  RO Draft.

  • Now, try filling out the rubric based on your own draft.

  • In the comments section, reflect on:​

    • What do you notice?​

    • What kind of feedback would you like to see?

    • Where do you need to improve or work on?

      • How can these ideas show in your own comments?​

  • Finish it and turn it into the Blackboard Discussion Forum: Portfolio Rubric Reflection

Part 2

​

Work on your Midterm Portfolio. Use this time to add additional pieces of your work as evidence if you haven't done so already.  I'll be walking around during the entire class so please ask questions if you need help!!

Homework

A) Work on finishing your About Me Genre Project.

B) Write a Spring Break reflection on the following (put in your Online Folder):

  • How did your break go?

  • What did you do over the break?

  • Think about the days you enjoyed the most and finish the following sentence stems:

    • That day I learned...

    • What surprised me about that day...

    • The most challenging thing about that day way...

    • The best thing about that day was...

  • Is there anything you wish you did over the break?

  • How do you feel about the rest of the semester?

C) Discovery Log #12

  • Use the Discovery Log template and fill out the template based on the theme of freedom you picked at the beginning of the semester (before DL #6). 

    • Fill out the template and make sure to identify 3-5 quotes ​(with page #'s)

Copy and past the links from your About Me Project, your Spring Break reflection, and the Discovery Log #12.  Turn all 3 links to the Blackboard Discussion Forum: Spring Break Work.
