Portfolio Discussion

Portfolio Peer Review Workshop

Review the student's submission that is immediately above you in the Discussion Forum thread. 

Go through the checklist below and highlight the parts in the drafts where you are seeing evidence of the following.  Use different colors and be sure to use a key to demonstrate which color/section is addressing the following:

  • Do you point to specific example(s) of work you have done?

    • If you are referring to a class discussion, which one are you talking about? What was the ​discussion about? What day was it on? 

    • If you are referring to reading responses, which reading response?  What was it about?  How did it or did not change your view of writing?

  • Do you provide one Key Term and one Habit of Mind and how it supports the Learning Outcome and piece of evidence? 

  • Did you explain what the Learning Outcome means?  

  • Did you use some descriptions from the 5 senses we talked about on Wednesday? You may not be able to use all 5 senses, but you can use some to give further details.

    • How did you feel about this particular piece of evidence?  

    • What did you see when you went through the process of the piece of evidence?

    • If you are referring to a class discussion, what did you see when you were participating?

Homework

A) Have Discovery Log #8 and Discovery Log #9 completed by Sunday, March 5th by 11:59PM.  Turn into the Blackboard Discussion Forum: Discovery Log #8 and #9.  You need to have 4 done by Wednesday! So if you can do more this weekend, great!

 

B) Have 3 Learning Outcomes drafted by Sunday, March 5th by 11:59PM.  Turn these into the Blackboard Discussion Forum: Portfolio Practice #4.  Your midterm portfolio is due soon, so the more you do now, the better!

 

 

Warm Up

In the Blackboard Discussion Forum: Portfolio Peer Review Workshop.  You should have at least 2 Learning Outcomes and drafts of reflections for each. Upload as a document. If you are using One Drive, create a copy of your original practice but copying and pasting it to a new Word Document in One Drive.  I need to see your process..
