Calendar Updates

On this page, you will find information for our Calendar Updates. For some of the updates, there are screen casts in Blackboard. That will be indicated in the description for the update. There is also other helpful information here that can help you find what time management processes help you.

Calendar Update #1 (8.28)

On a piece of paper (or a document in your Online Folder), lets start the process of setting some intentions for this semester!

Step 1: What are 3-4 intentions you would like to focus on for this semester? (you can think in terms of year but if you want to keep it simple, at least focus on this semester)

  • Some ideas/areas

    • career

    • school

    • money

    • relationships

    • spirituality

    • physical health

    • emotional wellness

Step 2: How are you going to do those 3-4 intentions?

  • What is your action plan?

    • Be concrete

    • Use positive language

    • present tense

  • Do at least 3-4 sub points for each thing...

Step 3: How do you want to feel for each intention?

Step 4: Pick a Word for the semester. Try to use a Habit of Mind!

Remember, intention and action!

Create structures to hold you accountable!

          • Create notecards? Go to SI? Do practice essays? Go see Wooster? What are the steps you need to do to get somewhere.

      • What reading do you need to get done?

      • Do you need to call loved ones? Call the doctor? Make appointments?

B. Now look at the online calendar you have created. What are some points in your day where you can devote these things? Write them into your calendar...
