Homework

In your ongoing document for Warm Up's, add the following entry:
-
What are you interested in?
-
What are you passionate about?
-
What pisses you off?
-
What are you interested in researching this semester?

If you are not sure to answer some of these, do not worry! That is why we are working on the Discovery Log in class. Try your best to see what information you have. If you are not sure about one of the questions above, I suggest creating a question out of it for your Discovery Log #1.
Reading Discussion
In groups of at least 3, based on the paragraph you are assigned for TC 2.0 and "Genre in the Wild," work through the following steps:
-
Step 1: As a group, discuss key points from your section. Each group: come up with an explanation of genre.
-
Step 2: Pick a quotation or section from that paragraph that you feel best addresses the recognizable forms or genre.
-
Step 3: Write the key points you discussed as a group from Step 1 in your section on the board.
-
Step 4: Be prepared to share your key points with the class as well as the quotation you picked.
Discovery Log Session
For the remainder of the class, work on your Discovery Log entry #1!
I will be walking around to see what your progress. If you think you are finished, we will continue your research! Please use this time effectively. You will be completing many entries for our Discovery Log so let's start off strong!
