Learning Outcomes

Warm Up

Group Discussion: Get into your reading groups and discuss the section you are assigned. Do the following for your section: 

  • Speaker

  • Writer

  • Researcher

  • Support

  1. In your groups, take time to write down at least one sentence from the text that you found confusing. 

  2. As a group, try and break down the sentence into smaller parts and try restating the sentences as a questions. Also, find a connection to either the IA #1 or the Intersections research proposal. 

  3. Once you have a question for your question, try discussing and answering the questions. 

  4. Make sure your note taker writes down the questions and the answers you all come up with in the Google doc. 

  5. As a group, pick a music video which represents both reflection and identity...

Wednesday's Class

Our first Compinar! (The coming together of both Composition and Seminar forces!)

In preparation for Wednesday's class, you have 2 tasks: 

  1. Read through the Intersections: Situations and Genres description (tab: Assignments and Due Dates). Write out any questions you have concerning the project. If you don't have any questions or concerns, I'll assume you understand the project!

  2. Review the Research Proposal template found in our Blackboard. What questions do you have regarding this?
