Warm Up

For about 10-15 minutes, work on your Discovery Log entry for this week.

Conferences

For our Friday class (4.12.19)  we will be having conferences.

I am doing this to see where you are with the projects we are working on. You will need to meet me with your IA (Genre #3) group.

  • If you would like to see me earlier in the week, whether in office hours or Writing Center sessions, so that you can focus on other things on Friday, that is ok!

  • If you want to come see me during office hours, be sure to give me a heads up since I do schedule students into my calendar. I want to be sure to carve out time for those who carve out time to come see me. If you want to see me during Writing Center sessions, schedule an appointment online.

For the conference, you must

  1. Come as a group and be on time!

  2. Bring a GSD list of things you need to get done. Primarily for this class but remember the list you created on Friday...

  3. Sign up for a time here

Genre #2 Workshop

For the remainder of class, work on Genre #2.

Remember:

  • Genre #1 & 2 need to have a Genre Justification for each.

  • Genre #1 & #2 need to have peer reviews...

  • Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Websites, Snapchat are not genres. THey are delivery systems for Genres. You need to clearly understand what genre you are using to reach your audience.

  • Be sure to use the I-Create Lab for either Genre #1 or Genre #2.
