Warm Up

On your running document for Warm Ups, respond to the following: 

  • Reflecting on all of the reading concepts we have covered from "Naming What We Know" and the "Framework for Information Literacy," what are a couple of concepts do you feel we have made connections to over the course of the semester? Pick at least 2 concepts and pull quotes to support your response.

  • Podcasts (Although some of the following suggestions are particular to the podcast genre, other episodes can help with how to address the situation (audience, purpose, genre). Think of how you can transfer what you learn, by listening to an episode, to what you are trying to accomplish in the Intersections project.)

Part B. Some Things...

  • keep track of things in your folder; label everything correctly and organize

    • be sure you have links on documents for online delivery systems​

  • create a GSD list of things you have to get done

    • look at the grade breakdown under the Assignments & Due Dates tab​

  • have your Mind Map next week for workshops

    •  we will be wrapping up the Final Portfolio ​​​

  • think of how your genres demonstrate thinking complexly 

  • be sure you are using the I-Create Lab for at least one genre

    • for the Genre Justification for that particular genre, put that you used the I-Create Lab

    • ​have what you are creating in the I-Create Lab to me by April 29th

  • Be sure to get your peer reviews done for Genre #1 and Genre #2

Extra Credit Opportunity 

The FYRC Conference

 

On April 25th, the FYRC will be taking place. â€‹

Extra credit: Although I don't necessarily take attendance for a grade, you attendance and participation in this course does effect how well you do overall. Also, when grading, I do consider the effort you put into the course. Therefore, now that we are wrapping up the semester, you can attend up to 2 session(s) to take care of  up to 2 absence(s). Talk to me before you make this decision. Give me the FYRC evaluation form from the event and give this to me on April 29th.
